Galantas Cabernet Franc Gran Reserva
The Galantas Cabernet Franc Gran Reserva is the flagship wine of Haras de Pirque – the legendary winery in the Maipo Andes Valley in Chile, situated at an altitude of over 700 meters at the foot of the Andes. This blend of 85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Carménère comes exclusively from certified organic single vineyards, where cool Andean nights impart to the Cabernet Franc the vibrancy, elegance, and finesse that sets it apart from all others.
In the glass, it presents itself in a luminous purplish-violet . The nose is complex and expressive with intense aromas of blueberry, blackberry, blackcurrant, and graphite , complemented by delicate floral notes, violets, and a hint of green pepper. On the palate, it is opulent, supple, and persistent, with pleasant, ripe tannins and a long, mineral-spiced finish full of character.
Matured for 14 months in French oak barrels – fermented exclusively with spontaneous yeasts – at 14.5% ABV , ideally served at 16–18°C . An ideal accompaniment to game, lamb ragout, filled pasta, and aged hard cheeses – with aging potential until 2036 .

Haras de Pirque – a winery and horse farm in the heart of the Maipo Valley. In 1991, Eduardo Matte acquired the property and opened it as a winery. It comprises 600 hectares of land, 120 of which are vineyards. The main building, shaped like a horseshoe, is a striking landmark. Today, the estate is 50 percent owned by the Marchesi Antinori family from Tuscany. Together, they produce wines from Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carmenère, and other grape varieties. The Pirque subregion is considered one of Chile's best wine-growing areas worldwide, especially for red wines. In 2004, their first joint project debuted: Albis. Maipo Valley, Tuscan influence – a fascinating combination.
