Albis

The Albis from Haras de Pirque represents the joint project of two wine dynasties: the Chilean Matte family and the Tuscan winery Antinori have developed a cuvée here that combines Chilean fruit with European structure.

Haras de Pirque is located in the Maipo Valley south of Santiago, one of Chile's most traditional red wine regions. The soils of volcanic rock and clay provide the basis for Cabernet Sauvignon with depth and backbone. The Albis matures for 18 months in barriques — classic treatment for a wine of this caliber.

In the glass, it shows dark blackberry and black cherry, underscored by cedar, dark chocolate, and an earthy undertone. The tannins are powerful but integrated through the barrique aging. Juicy finish with good length.
