Both maturation processes, combined with the mild Irish maritime climate, create distinctive flavor nuances in the whiskey. It offers aromas of cherries and other dark fruits, raisins, figs, and floral notes. On the palate, a gentle sweetness is noticeable, with hints of caramel, honey, and a touch of pepper. The bourbon barrel maturation also contributes sweet notes and nuances of dried fruit. The finish reveals a hint of ginger and almond.
