Irish Whiskey with a special finish – Glendalough at Vinoscout

Sometimes curiosity leads beyond wine – and that is exactly what this category is for. At Vinoscout, you will find a small, hand-picked selection of Irish Whiskeys from the Glendalough Distillery here, which surprise with unusual cask maturations.

What is behind it?

Glendalough, named after the famous valley in the Wicklow Mountains, stands for Irish craftsmanship with a look outside the box. The bottlings in this category are characterized by special cask finishes: a single cask with Calvados cask maturation, another with Madeira influence from the Canteiro process, as well as a double barrel aged single grain – each of these whiskeys brings its own story.

Irish Whiskey is generally considered accessible and soft in character. The cask finishes at Glendalough ensure that additional depth and complexity enter the glass without losing the typically gentle style. This also makes these bottlings interesting for wine lovers who occasionally want to try something different.

Who is it worth a look for?

Whether as a gift, a supplement to your wine collection, or simply for discovery – a small, hand-picked selection with real character is waiting to be discovered. Take a look and let yourself be surprised.
