Glendalough Distillery —
Irish spirits from the Wicklow Mountains

Glendalough Distillery is located on the edge of the monastic valley of the same name in the Wicklow Mountains south of Dublin—an area that combines Irish history and rugged nature in a small space. Five friends founded the distillery with the aim of producing spirits that don't deny their origins: wild botanicals from the immediate surroundings, local water, and Irish craftsmanship without shortcuts.

The Wild Botanical Gin brings the terroir of the Wicklow Mountains directly to the glass—seasonally harvested herbs and blossoms from the region give each bottling its own unique character. For its whiskeys, Glendalough relies on unusual cask finishes: Burgundy casks from Burgundy, Calvados wood from Normandy, and Mizunara oak from Japan lend the distillates a depth and distinctiveness rarely expected from Irish whiskeys.

The range extends from smoky pot still to finely crafted single malt — a good entry point for anyone wanting to get to know Irish whiskey beyond the big blends, and equally interesting for gin drinkers looking for something specific.
