Glendalough Pot Still Irish Oak Whiskey

The Glendalough Pot Still Irish Oak Whiskey is distilled quite traditionally in copper stills (pot still). It is then aged for 3 years in bourbon barrels and finally transferred for 1 year into barrels made of Irish oak.

Through the aging in bourbon barrels, the whiskey becomes soft and sweet, and through the Irish oak, it gains roasted aromas and light vanilla notes.

Thus, the finished Glendalough Pot Still Irish Oak Whiskey shows a multitude of aromas: from sweet citrus notes to vanilla, caramel, and banana, to earthy herbal aromas, oak, and leather.

In the mouth, it is soft and warm with typical pot still aromas of malt and spices, plus caramel pear, cinnamon, and nutmeg, accompanied by notes of toasted oak.

The finish is very long and reminiscent of forest fruits, almond, and toasted oak.
