Ferrari Maximum Rosé

The Ferrari Maximum Rosé is not an ordinary sparkling wine from Trentino — it is the flagship of the Ferrari house for complex rosé sparkling wine, produced using the classic bottle fermentation method.

Ferrari has been producing wine in Trento, in the heart of the Dolomites, since 1902 and is one of the leading producers of Metodo Classico in Italy. The winery uses Chardonnay as its base grape—in the Maximum Rosé, this is complemented by Pinot Noir, which provides the color, fruitiness, and characteristic soft tannins.

In the glass, it displays a pale salmon pink color with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose offers wild berries—raspberry, red currant—combined with a distinct yeasty note, suggesting extended bottle aging. On the palate, the structure is dense: berry fruit, a light spicy note, and a finish with noticeable but gentle tannins and fresh yeast. Falstaff awarded it 91 points, and the 2017 vintage received the "Best in Class" award at the Sparkling Wine World Championship.
