Enate Rosado Somontano DO

A rosé wine that doesn't beat around the bush: juicy, fresh, with a characteristic peppery kick that sets it apart from the mass of pale summer rosés.

Enate is one of the leading wineries of the Somontano Denominación de Origen, located at the foot of the Pyrenees in Aragon, northern Spain. The region benefits from the interplay of dry continental air and cool mountain winds – ideal for rosé wines with structure and freshness rather than pure sweetness.

In the glass, the Rosado displays a vibrant salmon color. The nose offers aromas of fresh strawberry and red pomegranate, along with a spicy peppery note that makes it more interesting than a simple fruit rosé. On the palate, it is juicy and direct, with crisp acidity and a dry, slightly spicy finish.

Enate

Founded in 1991 in Somontano, Aragon, Bodega Enate has since become one of the most influential names in the Spanish wine scene, now cultivating 500 hectares of vineyards at the foot of the Pyrenees. What sets Enate apart from other bodegas is its deeply ingrained three-pronged identity: quality winemaking, unwavering sustainability, and a profound connection to contemporary art, which is reflected even in the wine labels. Vineyards at an altitude of around 600 meters, sandy loam soils, and a daily temperature range of up to 15°C ensure slow-ripening grapes with pronounced varietal character. The result is wines that prioritize balance and elegance – not a flashy display, but precise craftsmanship from the heart of Aragon.
