Lion & Dragon Rosé

Lion & Dragon Rosé
A Provence rosé that breaks the mold: six months of oak barrel aging give the Lion & Dragon a creamy texture and depth without sacrificing the typical freshness of the region.
Château Roubine is located in the heart of Provence, in the Haut-Var between Draguignan and Lorgues. The estate is one of the oldest in the region and has been known for years for structured, age-worthy rosés – an exception in an appellation that usually focuses on light, easy-drinking wines.
In the glass, the Lion & Dragon displays aromas of strawberry and raspberry, embedded in lemongrass and a subtle woody note from the barrel aging. On the palate, it is juicy and round, with a fine creaminess kept in balance by lively acidity. The finish is long and slightly spicy – unusual for a Provence rosé.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs with grilled sea bass with fennel, goat cheese tart, or a bouillabaisse. Also convincing as a standalone summer evening wine without food.

Château Roubine – the soul of Provence. Since the 14th century, wines have been produced here between the Verdon Gorge and the Mediterranean Sea, embodying the heart of the Côtes de Provence. Since 1955, the estate has been one of only 23 "Cru Classé" wineries in the appellation. When Valérie Rousselle took over in 1994, she awakened a slumbering gem. Roubine has been certified organic since 2017. She affectionately calls her 130 hectares in the Var department "Little Siberia" – cooler than the Côte d'Azur, with calcareous clay soil, surrounded by pine and oak trees. Valérie is a grande dame of the Provençal wine world. Her rosés, whites, and reds: sunny colors, Mediterranean aromas, and an unmistakable lightness.
