Château Roubine

Château Roubine – the soul of Provence. Since the 14th century, wines have been produced here between the Verdon Gorge and the Mediterranean Sea, embodying the heart of the Côtes de Provence. Since 1955, the estate has been one of only 23 "Cru Classé" wineries in the appellation. When Valérie Rousselle took over in 1994, she awakened a slumbering gem. Roubine has been certified organic since 2017. She affectionately calls her 130 hectares in the Var department "Little Siberia" – cooler than the Côte d'Azur, with calcareous clay soil, surrounded by pine and oak trees. Valérie is a grande dame of the Provençal wine world. Her rosés, whites, and reds: sunny colors, Mediterranean aromas, and an unmistakable lightness.

Château Roubine –
Provence wines from Cru Classé in the Var department

Château Roubine lies in the heart of the Côtes de Provence , nestled between the Verdon Gorge and the Mediterranean Sea – and since 1955 has been one of only 23 wineries permitted to bear the status of "Cru Classé". This distinction is not awarded in Provence, but is rooted in history.

When Valérie Rousselle took over the estate in 1994, a radical reorientation began: 130 hectares of calcareous clay soil in the Var department, surrounded by pine and oak trees, cooler than the coast – Valérie jokingly calls the location "Little Siberia". Since 2017, the winery has been certified organic, and cultivation follows the rhythm of the terroir rather than the calendar.

The wines reflect this place: rosés with a pale salmon hue and fresh structure, white wines with herbal notes, red wines with Mediterranean warmth and a clear line. Not a style for the grand stage – but for the table where you have time to savor it.
