Château Grenouilles Chablis Grand Cru in HK

The Grenouilles is one of the seven Grand Cru sites of Chablis – and one of the rarest: the vineyard rectangle directly on the Serein covers only about four hectares. What grows here is Kimmeridgian limestone in its most concentrated form.

La Chablisienne is the most significant cooperative of the appellation, founded in 1923, today with around 300 winegrower families and access to the best sites in the region. At Grenouilles, the cooperative works precisely: twenty months of aging on the fine lees, partly in wood, partly in steel – a balance that promotes structure and freshness simultaneously.

In the glass, golden yellow with green reflections appears. The nose opens with white peach, beeswax, and a hint of roasted almond – the wood is noticeable but never dominant. On the palate follows a dense, oily texture, underneath the typical Chablis tension: citrus peel, flint, a long salty finish with light smoky spice.

Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with lobster, scallops with butter sauce, turbot, or a mature Époisses.

La Chablisienne

In 1923, 250 winegrowing families joined forces. This led to the creation of La Chablisienne , the most important winegrowers' cooperative in the Chablis region.

Today, the members cultivate over 1200 hectares of vineyards – about a quarter of the entire Chablis region. The only star here is Chardonnay .

The wines are crisp, mineral, and taste of citrus and white blossoms. A piece of living winemaking history that you simply must taste.
