Chablis 1er Cru, Vaulorent, La Chablisienne

Vaulorent is one of the most prestigious Premier Cru slopes in Chablis – located north of the Grands Crus block, on the same Upper Jurassic Kimmeridge limestone that gives Chablis its distinctive minerality.

La Chablisienne is the most important winegrowers' cooperative in the appellation, founded in 1923, and today has around 300 members and over a quarter of the Chablis vineyard area. Vaulorent is one of their flagship wines: hand-harvested, carefully vinified, with a focus on purity and terroir potential rather than oak aging.

In the glass, it displays yellow apple, white peach, and a delicate exotic note—pineapple or ripe guava—typical of well-aged Premier Cru vineyards from Chablis. Beneath this lies the characteristic slate minerality: cool, salty, almost chalky. On the palate, it is powerful and clearly structured, with lively acidity and a long, deep finish that lingers for minutes after swallowing.

Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Drinking window until 2030. Pairs perfectly with oysters and raw seafood, grilled sea bass, scallops with butter or a mature goat cheese.

La Chablisienne

In 1923, 250 winegrowing families joined forces. This led to the creation of La Chablisienne , the most important winegrowers' cooperative in the Chablis region.

Today, the members cultivate over 1200 hectares of vineyards – about a quarter of the entire Chablis region. The only star here is Chardonnay .

The wines are crisp, mineral, and taste of citrus and white blossoms. A piece of living winemaking history that you simply must taste.
