Chablis 1er Cru Grande Cuvée

Chablis 1er Cru Grande Cuvée
Seven Premier Cru vineyards, one cuvée: La Chablisienne combines the best of the Kimmeridgian limestone soil around Chablis to create a white wine that showcases the region in its classic form.
La Chablisienne is no ordinary cooperative. Founded in 1923, its members now cultivate around 25% of the entire Chablis appellation—including some of the finest Premier Cru parcels. The Grande Cuvée is its centerpiece: a blend of several Premier Crus, vinified for freshness and mineral precision, typical of the estate's style.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw yellow color with green reflections. The nose offers aromas of white peach, lemon zest, and a distinct flinty note—the hallmark of Kimmeridgian wines. On the palate, it presents firm acidity, medium body, a light creamy texture, and a long, salty-mineral finish.
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Drinking window: now until 2028
- Pairs well with: oysters, scallops with butter, goat cheese or grilled sea bass with herbs
In 1923, 250 winegrowing families joined forces. This led to the creation of La Chablisienne , the most important winegrowers' cooperative in the Chablis region.
Today, the members cultivate over 1200 hectares of vineyards – about a quarter of the entire Chablis region. The only star here is Chardonnay .
The wines are crisp, mineral, and taste of citrus and white blossoms. A piece of living winemaking history that you simply must taste.
