Petit Chablis Dame Nature
Clear, cool, direct — the Petit Chablis Dame Nature from La Chablisienne shows what Kimmeridgian limestone and a cool continental climate can bring out of Chardonnay: no makeup, just substance.
La Chablisienne is one of the most important winegrowers' cooperatives in Chablis—around 300 winegrowing families cultivate over 1,200 hectares together. The Dame Nature line represents certified organic viticulture: no synthetic pesticides, consistent hand-harvesting, and minimal intervention in the cellar. Especially in the cool north of Burgundy, where the weather is rarely kind, this demands true craftsmanship from the winemaker.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw yellow color. The nose is precise: green apple, lemon zest, a hint of white blossoms. On the palate, the typical Chablis texture emerges—lively acidity, an almost chalky, mineral mouthfeel reminiscent of wet pebbles. The finish is short, clean, and invigorating.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 10–12 °C. Drink now — not a wine for aging, but a reliable everyday companion. Pairs well with oysters, mussels in white wine, pan-fried pike-perch, or a simple goat cheese.
In 1923, 250 winegrowing families joined forces. This led to the creation of La Chablisienne , the most important winegrowers' cooperative in the Chablis region.
Today, the members cultivate over 1200 hectares of vineyards – about a quarter of the entire Chablis region. The only star here is Chardonnay .
The wines are crisp, mineral, and taste of citrus and white blossoms. A piece of living winemaking history that you simply must taste.
