Berlucchi Franciacorta Nature 61 Millesimato DOCG

Berlucchi's Franciacorta Nature 61 DOCG is produced using the zero dosage method. Its color is a deep straw yellow with light copper hues. The bouquet is complex and elegant, revealing aromas of yellow and candied fruits on the nose. On the palate, it displays a beautiful acidity and a powerful structure. In the winter following the harvest, Berlucchi begins the "prove di cuvée" (cuvée selection) process. More than 200 base wines are tasted to create the character of future Franciacortas. In 1961, Franco Ziliani established the first Franciacorta bottle fermentation, modeled after Champagne, in the historic underground cellars of the small village of Borgonato, located at the southern end of Lake Iseo. To commemorate this event and honor this achievement, Berlucchi created Nature '61. Gambero Rosso 2024: 3 glasses for 2014 and 2016.
