Anthony Rupert Cabernet Sauvignon

Four years of aging – 24 months in oak barrels, followed by another 24 months in the bottle – is no small feat. This Cabernet Sauvignon from the Anthonij Rupert winery needs this time, and you can taste it.

The winery is located in Franschhoek, South Africa, one of the oldest wine-growing regions of the Cape, founded by Huguenot refugees in the 17th century. The Rupert family is among the driving forces that have put Franschhoek on the international map – with a focus on structured, age-worthy red wines that combine South African fruit with European cellar discipline.

In the glass, the wine displays a deep ruby ​​red with violet edges. The nose offers blackcurrant and plum, along with violet and a distinct hint of cocoa powder. On the palate, mocha notes emerge, the tannins are ripe and well-integrated, and the finish is long and spicy.
