Durbach White Burgundy

Durbach White Burgundy
A Pinot Blanc that shows what Baden is capable of: cool precision, dense minerality and a delicately bitter sweetness that defines the drinking experience.
Andreas Laible cultivates his vineyards around Durbach at the foot of the Ortenau – one of the warmest and steepest wine regions in Baden, characterized by weathered granite and gneiss. This mineral subsoil is directly noticeable in the Pinot Blanc.
The nose reveals citrus fruit in two facets – fresh and candied – along with a hint of biscuit, a slightly iodine note, and fresh herbs. On the palate, it has a firm body with clear structure, a fine, creamy texture, and a salty minerality. Fresh quince emerges in the mid-palate, while the subtly tart sweetness provides length and depth. The finish is salty, mineral, and complex.
