Durbach White Burgundy

Durbach White Burgundy
A Pinot Blanc that shows what Baden can do: cool precision, dense minerality, and an Off-Dry sweetness that determines the flow of drinking.
Andreas Laible cultivates his sites around Durbach at the foot of the Ortenau – one of the warmest and steepest wine regions in Baden, characterized by weathered granite and gneiss. This mineral subsoil is directly perceptible in the Pinot Blanc.
On the nose, citrus fruit appears in two facets – fresh and candied –, plus a hint of biscuit, a slightly iodine note, and fresh herbs. Firm body on the palate with clear pressure, fine melt, and salty minerality. Fresh quince pushes into the mid-palate, the Off-Dry sweetness ensures length and depth. The finish is salty-mineral and complex.
