Andreas Laible Riesling Kabinett dry

A dry Kabinett from the Rench Valley in Baden — light, precise, and anything but harmless. Andreas Laible is one of the region's most influential names in winemaking, and this Riesling shows why.

The winery is located in Durbach, at the foot of the Plauelrain — one of Baden's best Riesling vineyards, characterized by weathered granite and gneiss soils. Laible consistently vinifies for fruitiness and vibrancy, without relying on heavy oak aging.

In the glass, the wine displays aromas of yellow stone fruit, herbal spice, and a stony, almost salty undertone—typical of the granite soils of the Rench Valley. The body is lean, the acidity lively without being sharp, and the finish mineral and long. No heavy-handedness, but a solid core.

Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with pan-fried trout, goat cheese, or a light vegetable risotto. Also excellent as an aperitif—especially when there's still a hint of summer left outside.
