Altavilla della Corte Grillo Sicilia
Sicilian Grillo, as it should be: aromatic and direct, with Mediterranean spice and the salty aftertaste of the island.
Firriato is one of Sicily's most renowned wineries, cultivating vineyards on the Altavilla della Corte estate in the province of Trapani—one of the hottest and windiest corners of the island. Grillo is the classic white grape variety of western Sicily: aromatic, full-bodied, with a natural freshness despite the Mediterranean heat.
The glass reveals aromas of green apple, white almonds, and Mediterranean herbs—thyme, sage, and a hint of rosemary. The acidity is present but softly integrated; the finish is dry with a slightly salty note.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled fish, seafood, pasta with clams, or a simple Caprese salad with good olive oil. Also a solid choice as an uncomplicated aperitif on the patio. Drink now.

Firriato – a winery in Sicily, founded in 1985 by Salvatore Di Gaetano and his wife Vinizia Novara. What they have built is now one of the largest and most highly regarded wineries on the island. Six locations in western Sicily, encompassing around 300 hectares of vineyards on tuff and red sand. They produce 4.25 million bottles annually, three-quarters of which are exported to over 30 countries. Predominant grape varieties are Nero d'Avola and Grillo, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Syrah. Organic farming according to "BioAgriCert" standards and a Gambero Rosso star – this is top-class Sicilian wine that you can taste.
