The Aberlour 12 Year Old is a single malt whisky matured in two different cask types, which gives it its deep character and typically balanced flavor. This 12-year-old whisky has a smooth, rounded bouquet characterized by fruity notes of red apples. On the palate, sherry influences and fruity aromas are discernible, underscored by a spiciness of chocolate, toffee, cinnamon, and ginger. This twelve-year-old Aberlour has a long, warming finish with slightly smoky notes and a delicate spiciness.

Aberlour Distillery

The history of the unique Aberlour distillery dates back to 1826, when James Gordon and Peter Weir decided to establish this special distillery in Charlestown of Aberlour, in the heart of the famous Speyside region. After several distilleries and changes of ownership, Aberlour is now part of Chivas Brothers Ltd., a subsidiary of the Pernod Ricard group in France. The Aberlour distillery offers a wide range of whiskies, but its focus remains on the production of single malts. One of these exceptional drams is the Aberlour 10 Year Old Highland Single Malt, which, as the name suggests, is matured for ten years in ex-sherry casks.
