Metzger Winery

The name Uli Metzger from Asselheim is synonymous with the Metzger winery in the Northern Palatinate. He has managed the winery since 2010, though he has been involved with the business for over 30 years, when it still belonged to his parents. His dedication and innovative ideas have led to its success. Numerous technological advancements, as well as the distinctive labels, which categorize the wines into three tiers – similar to the cuts of beef – have contributed to the wines' renown. Modern, high-quality wines are cultivated on approximately 19 hectares of land, largely composed of calcareous soil.

Metzger winery from Asselheim

Uli Metzger farms around 19 hectares in the northern Palatinate, mostly on calcareous soil. His product range follows its own system: three tiers, based on the cuts of beef – unusual, but consistent. He has been with the farm for 30 years and has been solely responsible since 2010.
