Russiz Superiore is an Italian winery, located in Capriva del Friuli in the east of the country just before the border with Slovenia. Together with the winery Marco Felluga, it has existed since the middle of the 19th century, and both are now managed in the sixth generation by Ilaria Felluga. The region has a mild climate thanks to the proximity to the sea (30 km) and the protection of the Alps in the north. The soils of the region consist mainly of sandstone and marl and give the 100 ha of vineyard area the best conditions for the company's viticulture. Cultivated grape varieties include Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon Blanc, or Tocai Friulano.

Five generations of winegrowing on the border with Slovenia

Ilaria Felluga manages Russiz Superiore in the sixth generation – on 100 hectares of sandstone and marl in Capriva del Friuli. The mild coastal climate and the protection of the Alps shape varieties like Tocai Friulano, Pinot Bianco, and Sauvignon Blanc with fresh minerality and clear structure.
