Meerlust Wine Estate – for over 250 years a name synonymous with unforgettable wines. Just 15 kilometers south of Stellenbosch, barely five kilometers from False Bay. The proximity to the sea brings cool breezes and coastal mist – the grapes ripen slowly, evenly, with true depth. Owned by the Myburgh family since 1756, the estate is now run by Hannes Myburgh, the eighth generation, with respect for its heritage and a clear vision for the future. Its most famous wine: Rubicon. Meerlust Wine Estate
Just a few kilometers from False Bay, the coastal fog brings coolness to the vineyards of Meerlust. The Myburgh family has cultivated this estate south of Stellenbosch since 1756 – now in its eighth generation. Their most famous wine, Rubicon, is considered one of South Africa's defining red wines: structured, age-worthy, and clearly expressing its origin.
