La Scolca

La Scolca is an Italian winery from the Piedmont region. Founded around 1919 by the Soldati family, it is now in its fifth generation, managed by Giorgio Soldati and his daughter Chiara Soldati. The winery's vineyards are located just a few kilometers from the sea, benefiting from ideal temperature conditions. The soils are characterized by limestone and clay, as well as a high iron content. La Scolca cultivates grape varieties such as Cortese, Cortese di Gavi, and Pinot Noir on its 50 hectares of vineyards.

Five generations of Cortese –
La Scolca from Piedmont

Since 1919, the Soldati family has cultivated their 50 hectares in Piedmont, just a few kilometers from the Ligurian Sea. Limestone and clay soils with a high iron content shape the character of the Cortese grapes – the basis for the clear, mineral Gavi wines for which La Scolca is known.
