About Château Montlabert
Château Montlabert –
Saint-Émilion with attitude
Château Montlabert is located in the heart of Saint-Émilion, spread over nineteen parcels around the château. The sandy soil with blue clay gives the Merlot and Cabernet Franc their characteristic structure: soft tannins, but with backbone. Three-quarters of the 21 hectares are dedicated to the main wine, which is vinified under the consultation of Hubert de Boüard.
Since 2008, the estate has belonged to the Castel Group, which consistently focuses on organic farming methods here – confirmed by the Terra Vitis certificate. In 2017, a second parcel in Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes was added, the grapes of which flow into the second wine. Two appellations, one clear signature.
