La Croix de Montlabert Saint-Emilion Grand Cru AOC

As befits a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, La Croix de Montlabert is the second wine of Château Montlabert, made from Moerlot and Cabernet Franc. In the glass, it displays an intense ruby-red color with garnet highlights. The nose is dominated by aromas of ripe plums and hazelnuts, accompanied by delicate hints of cassis. On the palate, it offers juicy fruit flavors with spicy, well-integrated tannins. Beautiful balance and easy drinkability ensure a long finish. Cellaring potential: approximately 8-10 years.

Chateau Montlabert

Château Montlabert – owned by the Castel Group, one of France's largest wine producers, since 2008. With the invaluable guidance of Hubert de Boüard, the estate is committed to organic farming methods – certified by Terra Vitis. It comprises 21 hectares in Saint-Émilion, spread across nineteen parcels surrounding the château. The sandy soil with blue clay is ideal for Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Three-quarters of the area is dedicated to the main wine. In 2017, a second parcel of eight hectares in Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes was added. Here, the grapes for the second wine are grown. Saint-Émilion with character.
