Sicily's sunshine in a glass
Cantine Cellaro comes from Sambuca di Sicilia, a small town in the heart of the island where summers are long and hot and the vines search for water in barren, mineral-rich soils. These conditions shape grapes with concentrated fruit and natural depth – before they even reach the cellar.
As a cooperative winery, Cellaro pools the knowledge and harvests of many Sicilian winegrowing families from the region. That might sound like a compromise, but it is the opposite: the joint vinification allows them to get the best out of a wide range of sites and grape varieties – including Nero d'Avola, Grillo, and Catarratto. Multiple award-winning bottlings prove that they do not settle for the lowest common denominator here.
What distinguishes the wines from Cellaro is their honesty: they taste like Sicily – like sun, like dark fruit, like the rugged charm of an island that knows no pretense. Accessible in price, but never arbitrary in character.
