Pinot Blanc Clay & Marl Southern Styria DAC

Pinot Blanc Clay & Marl Southern Styria DAC
Eight sites, one wine: The clay & marl shows what southern Styria can do in Pinot Blanc – firm freshness, clear fruit and a soil that leaves its mark on the glass.
The Tement winery in Berghausen is one of the most renowned wineries in Southern Styria. Cultivated biodynamically (Demeter-certified) and consistently focused on terroir expression, this cuvée blend combines grapes from eight clay-rich vineyards with a calcareous marl subsoil – hence the name.
In the glass, ripe pear and yellow apple are revealed, along with a hint of almond and a delicate citrus note on the finish. The calcareous marl soil provides a lively acidity that keeps the wine lean and invigorating – not a heavy single-vineyard wine, but a precise everyday companion with character.
