Pinot Blanc Clay & Marl Southern Styria DAC

Eight vineyards, one wine: The Ton & Mergel shows what Southern Styria can do with Pinot Blanc – taut freshness, clear fruit, and a soil that leaves its signature on the glass.

The Tement winery in Berghausen is one of the most famous addresses in Southern Styria. Biodynamically managed (Demeter-certified) and consistently focused on terroir expression, this cuvée approach combines grapes from eight clay-rich vineyards with a limestone-marl subsoil – hence the name.

In the glass, ripe pear and yellow apple appear, plus a hint of almond and a fine citrus note in the finish. The limestone marl provides a lively acid structure that keeps the wine lean and animating – not a heavy single-vineyard wine, but a precise everyday companion with character.
