Greco di Tufo DOCG
Greco di Tufo DOCG is one of the great white wines of southern Italy – mineral, complex, and distinctive. The indigenous Greco Bianco grape variety grows in eight select municipalities in the province of Avellino in Campania, on volcanic clay and tuff soils rich in sulfur and limestone. These unique soils impart their characteristic tension and mineral depth to the wine.
In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow with golden reflections . The nose unfolds intense aromas of white peach, quince, mandarin orange, yellow apple, and flint , accompanied by hints of smoke, balsam, and blossom honey. On the palate, it is full-bodied, invigoratingly fresh, and precise, with pronounced acidity, a creamy texture from lees aging, and a long, salty-mineral finish.
With 13.0% alcohol by volume and an ideal serving temperature of 8–10 °C, it pairs well with seafood, grilled fish, pasta with mussels, buffalo mozzarella, and creamy cheese dishes. A white wine with character, origin, and great aging potential.
