Aglianico Campania IGT

Aglianico Campania IGT
Aglianico from Campania – that's southern Italy without compromise: dark fruit, grip, character. Villa Raiano's interpretation shows what happens when you give this grape variety space and time to develop.
The Villa Raiano winery is located in the heart of Sannio, one of Campania's most traditional wine regions. For years, the family has been working to bring out the potential of the great Campanian grape varieties – Aglianico, Fiano, Greco – without pandering to international mass tastes.
This Aglianico is aged for six months, half in barriques and half in stainless steel tanks on its lees. This creates a harmonious balance: the oak imparts notes of cocoa, tobacco, and a subtle spiciness; the tank-aged portion maintains freshness and fruitiness – mulberry, dark plum, and a hint of violet. On the palate, it reveals a ripe yet pronounced tannin structure with a long, warm finish.
Serving temperature 17–18 °C. Drinkable now, but will keep for another three to four years without any problems.
