Villa Canlungo Pinot Grigio Collio DOC
Pinot Grigio from the Collio – this is a different league than most supermarket shelves. The hilly zone in Friuli, right on the Slovenian border, provides the basis for white wines with real texture thanks to its changing climate of alpine coolness and Adriatic warmth.
Collavini has been producing the Villa Canlungo for decades as the flagship product of its Collio line. The Collavini family is one of the most reliable addresses in Friuli – with a clear focus on varietally typical, precise white wines from the classic DOC sites of the region.
In the glass, the Villa Canlungo shows a characteristic aroma profile: hay, fresh walnut, and a hint of toasted almond – typical for Pinot Grigio from cooler Collio sites, where the grape variety unfolds its nutty-spicy side instead of remaining in neutral paleness. On the palate, juicy, with good substance and a fresh, dry finish.
