Syrah Amphora

Domaine Mira Luna's Syrah Amphora represents one of the oldest winemaking methods in the world: fermentation and aging in clay vessels (amphorae) that do not release oxygen or wood aromas, but allow the wine to breathe and let its varietal profile come through unfiltered.

Syrah aged in amphorae typically displays an intense aroma profile of dark olive, black pepper, blackberry, and violet – without the vanilla overtones that barriques impart. The tannins often appear more finely polished than in classic oak aging, and the fruit remains clearer and more precise. Serving temperature: 16–17 °C.

Goes well with braised lamb, grilled eggplant with harissa or mature pecorino cheese.

Domaine Mira Luna

Mira Luna – the name sounds like night, moonlight, and the quiet rustling of the vineyards. Coming from France, this winery stands for wines that tell more than just their vintage. These are wines that you don't just drink, but that make you pause for a moment – as if you were actually looking over quiet rows of vines under a clear night sky.

What excites us about Mira Luna is the palpable signature behind every drop. Here, wine is not vinified for mass taste, but with a view to the place, the vine, and the moment. Every bottle seems like the result of a conscious decision rather than a compromise – characterized by patience in the vineyard and restraint in the cellar, so that in the end exactly what the landscape itself has to say ends up in the glass.

Let yourself be surprised by these wines – preferably with a good glass in your hand when the evening slowly gets cooler and there is time for the quiet tones. Mira Luna is not a wine for a quick sip in between, but for moments when you take the time to taste carefully.
