The Monica di Sardegna grape variety was once the most widely cultivated grape in Sardinia. Today, it is only grown in a few select areas of Sardinia, such as near Lake Baratz and on the neighboring islands of San Pietro and Sant'Antioco. The Cantina Santa Maria la Palma Monica di Sardegna Superiore boasts a beautiful, intense ruby-red color and a rich bouquet with aromas distinctly reminiscent of red berries, elegantly complemented by spicy notes. Its dry palate is juicy and smooth, with light acidity and a subtle body.

Cantina Santa Maria la Palma – a story of farm workers who had nothing but land and an idea. After the agrarian reform of 1946, they received land between the Gulf of Alghero and the Bay of Ponte Conte. In 1959, 100 of them joined together to form a cooperative. Today, the winery combines modern technology with ancient traditions across 700 hectares. The Vermentino "Aragosta" has become a flagship of Sardinian white wines – good quality at attractive prices. Whether it's method, soil conservation, or technology: for them, quality always comes first.
