Roero Arneis

Roero Arneis is a dry white wine from the Piedmont region of northern Italy, specifically from the heart of the region between Canale and Alba on the right bank of the Tanaro River. The wine bears the Roero Arneis DOCG designation and is made exclusively from the Arneis grape variety, which has found its ideal growing conditions in the Roero area.

The typical style is fresh, lively, and extremely fruity, with crisp acidity and a rather light to medium body. The nose is dominated by fresh aromas of pear, green apple, white peach, citrus, and floral jams, often accompanied by a delicate hint of herbs or almonds, reminiscent of the nutty notes of this grape variety.

On the palate, Roero Arneis remains very clean and uncomplicated, yet displays a certain minerality and elegance that sets it apart from many simple white wines. It is ideally suited as an accompaniment to fish, seafood, light appetizers, salads, or white poultry. Thanks to its fresh acidity and fruity aromas, it is also very appealing as an aperitif.

Roero Arneis should ideally be drunk young to fully appreciate its vibrant fruit. The recommended serving temperature is around 8–10 °C, so that the wine appears cool and refreshing in the glass without losing its aromas.
