Asili
The Asili from Faletto is a Barbaresco from one of the most prestigious single vineyards in Piedmont — concentrated, structured, with the characteristic backbone of Nebbiolo.
The Asili vineyard lies in the heart of Barbaresco, on calcareous tuff soil that lends the Nebbiolo a distinctive minerality. Faletto is among the producers who rely on traditional vinification: long maceration periods and aging in large wooden barrels. The result is wines that need time—and reward it.
In the glass, the Asili displays the classic aroma profile of a mature Barbaresco: dried rose, cherry compote, and licorice on the nose, underpinned by tar and tobacco. On the palate, firm yet silky tannins, lively acidity, and a long finish with notes of leather spice and dark chocolate.
