Robert Mondavi Private Selection Vint Cabernet Sauvignon Bourbon Barrel Aged
A Cabernet Sauvignon with a distinct character: ripe California fruit, complemented by the sensory signature of American bourbon barrels.
Robert Mondavi is one of the most renowned names in Napa Valley – the Private Selection label sources its grapes from the Central Coast and Lodi, two of California's most productive wine regions. The vineyards benefit from the Pacific influence: cool nights preserve acidity, while warm days promote ripeness. After vinification, the wine matures in ex-bourbon barrels made of American oak – a process increasingly used in California for Cabernet Sauvignon to complement the fruit profile with toasty and licorice aromas.
The glass reveals dark blackberry and blackcurrant, along with vanilla, caramel, and a subtle hint of coconut from the barrel aging. The body is medium-bodied, the tannins soft and well-integrated, and the finish warm and slightly smoky.
- Food: BBQ ribs, grilled entrecôte, pulled pork or mature cheddar

Robert Mondavi Winery embodies one of the most consequential ideas in modern wine history: that Napa Valley can compete with the world's great wine regions. Since its founding in 1966, the winery in Oakville, California, has worked toward precisely that goal – and proven it.
At its heart lies the legendary To Kalon Vineyard , one of North America's most prestigious vineyards. Here grows the Cabernet Sauvignon that made the estate famous: structured, age-worthy, with the unmistakable profile of Oakville soils.
