Reserve Mouton Cadet Médoc Bordeaux

Pure Médoc: dark fruit, structured tannins and that typical hint of licorice that makes good Bordeaux so distinctive.

Mouton Cadet is one of the most renowned Bordeaux négociants – founded in 1930 by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, who wanted to make high-quality Bordeaux accessible to a wider audience. The Réserve line is a step above the classic: more selective in grape selection, aged longer, and offering greater sophistication in the glass.

In the glass, the wine displays a deep, purplish-red color. On the nose, it opens with aromas of blackcurrant and licorice , accompanied by a slight tartness that signals freshness. On the palate, it is more pronounced than expected – juicy wild berries, plum, and a hint of cherry carry the wine through the finish, which remains round and persistently aromatic. The tannins are firm, but without harshness.
