Pinot Brut

Pinot Brut
A white Pinot Noir made from 40-year-old vines from the Roxheimer Höllenpfad vineyard in the Mühlenberg area – a VDP.Große Lage (Grand Cru) site on the Nahe River. Hand-harvested, fermented and aged in 60-year-old oak barrels, followed by traditional bottle fermentation using the Méthode Champenoise. Aged on the lees for at least 50 months , then hand-riddled and hand-disgorged.
In the glass: delicate red berry fruit, yeast pastries, a hint of nougat. Creamy bubbles, precise acidity, dry and slightly salty finish. The extended lees aging gives the sparkling wine a depth that far surpasses the usual level.
Strong as an aperitif – also pairs well with grilled salmon, scallops, or mild goat cheese. Serving temperature: 8–10 °C. Best enjoyed by 2028.
