Negresco Vino Rosso

A structured red wine from the Cà Maiol winery – known for its meticulous craftsmanship on Lake Garda. Twelve months in 225-liter barriques have given the Negresco depth and definition without masking its fruit.

Cà Maiol has been cultivating vineyards in the Valtenesi, the hilly western shore of Lake Garda, for decades. The climate – tempered by the lake's waters and influenced by Mediterranean olive groves and cypress forests – gives the wines their distinctive character: ripe fruit, a soft structure, and aromatic spice.

In the glass, the Negresco displays dark berry fruit, blackberry and plum, along with tobacco and subtle spice notes – a typical profile for barrel-aged red wines from the region. The palate is full-bodied, the tannins well integrated through oak aging, and the finish warm and lingering.

Cà Maiol

Cà Maiol is an Italian winery founded in 1967 by Walter Contato. The family business is now run by the second generation, Fabio and Patrizia Contato. Located at the southern end of Lake Garda, the winery owns approximately 140 hectares of vineyards with calcareous clay soils. Thanks to its proximity to Lake Garda, the region also enjoys a very mild climate. Among the grape varieties cultivated are Trbbiano di Lugano, Marzemino, Gropello, and Sangiovese.
