Muga Rosado Rioja DOCa

A Rioja Rosado as it should be: lively, clearly structured, and with real fruit depth instead of sweet melt.

Bodegas Muga is one of the most traditional houses in Haro, the heart of the Rioja Alta. The Muga family has been making wine since 1932 – and the Rosado is one of the house's classics. Made from Garnacha and Viura, fermented at low temperatures to preserve freshness and aromatics.

In the glass, it shows a light salmon pink. The nose brings strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of wild rose. On the palate, juicy with lively acidity, slim body, and a crisp-dry finish without any residual sweetness.

Drinking temperature: 6–8 °C. Ideally in the year following the vintage.

  • Tapas: Jamón serrano, Patatas bravas, Tortilla
  • Salads with roasted peppers or fresh goat cheese
  • Grilled octopus or shrimp with lemon
  • Uncomplicated aperitif on warm evenings

Bodegas Muga

Bodegas Muga – tradition is the great secret. A visit to Haro, in the heart of Rioja, conveys a sense of peace, prestige, and serenity that few top wineries can match. For decades, Muga has operated its own cooperage – all the vessels used in winemaking are handcrafted. The wines mature in peace and darkness. Key wines: Rioja Reserva, Seleccion Especial. Torre Muga is among the best in Spain. The Gran Reserva Prado Enea? A legend, comparable to great, mature Burgundies. Conservative, classic, and world-renowned – this is Spanish wine culture.
