Monte Vacano
Monte Vacano is the entry point into the Weil universe – and even here it shows what makes the winery in Kiedrich special: precision, vibrancy, clear fruit.
Robert Weil is one of the leading wineries in the Rheingau. Consistently focused on quality since the 1990s, the estate cultivates around 90 hectares around Kiedrich – including top vineyard sites such as the Gräfenberg. The Monte Vacano is the estate wine, which embodies the winery's signature style in an approachable way: Riesling from the Rheingau Taunus slate, carefully vinified and produced in a dry style.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw yellow color. The nose opens with aromas of citrus peel, green apple, and a hint of white peach. On the palate, a precise, well-integrated acidity carries the wine – no harshness, no harshness, just flow. The finish is fresh and mineral, with a subtle saline note lingering on the aftertaste.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with asparagus with hollandaise sauce, steamed cod, or a mild goat cheese. Ready to drink now, but will also keep for 2–3 years without any problems.
