Chardonnay Iaia Friuli DOC
Chardonnay Iaia Friuli DOC is a dry white wine from the renowned Marco Felluga winery in the Collio/Friuli region (Friuli-Venezia Giulia) of northern Italy. The wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes and is produced as a pure, fruity DOC wine without oak aging, allowing the grape variety to express itself clearly and freshly.
In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow color with golden reflections. The nose is intense and aromatic, with notes of tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango, complemented by apple, pear, peach, and delicate floral accents. On the palate, the Iaia is fresh, juicy, and well-structured, with crisp acidity, a creamy texture, and a long, lingering, slightly mineral finish.
Fermentation and aging for approximately six months take place in stainless steel tanks, partly on the fine lees, resulting in a rounded, approachable, yet complex wine style. It is ideally served at 8–10 °C and pairs perfectly with fish, seafood, light appetizers, salads, or white poultry. Thanks to its clear, fruity structure, it can be enjoyed young or over several years.

Marco Felluga is an Italian winery located in the town of Gradisca d'Isonzo, founded in 1956 by Marco Felluga. The current managing director is his son, Roberto Felluga, a fifth-generation winemaker in the family. Marco Felluga now manages over 100 hectares of vineyards, consisting of sandstone, clay, and marl soils. Thanks to the protection afforded by the Alps, the region enjoys a climate characterized by warm days and cool nights in spring and very mild summers. Each vineyard also possesses its own microclimate, providing ideal conditions for cultivating various grape varieties. These include Pinot Bianco, Moscato Rosa, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Ribolla Gialla.
