Les 3 Côteaux Sancerre Blanc Caillotes

Les 3 Côteaux Sancerre Blanc Caillotes
A Sancerre that shows why Chavignol is among the best vineyards in the Loire Valley: mineral, taut, with real depth.
Domaine Hubert Brochard has been cultivating vineyards around Chavignol for generations – the village also known for its Crottin de Chavignol. The grapes for this Blanc grow on three steep slopes with an incline of 20–25 degrees. The soil is Caillotes – a shallow, stony limestone that forces the vines to root deeply, imparting the wine's characteristic minerality.
In the glass, it displays a clear straw yellow color. The nose offers aromas of grapefruit, white currant, and a hint of flint. On the palate, it presents lively acidity, a medium body, a creamy texture, and a long, salty-mineral finish that clearly reflects its terroir.
Serving suggestion: Serve well chilled at 10–12 °C. Classic with goat cheese – especially Crottin de Chavignol – but also excellent with scallops, river trout, or a light herb risotto. Drinking window: now until 2027.
In the heart of Sancerre – where the hills of the Loire sweep towards the horizon in sweeping lines – the Brochard family has been cultivating for generations what makes this appellation so distinctive: Sauvignon Blanc of mineral precision and Pinot Noir with velvety depth.
Hubert Brochard shaped the winery with a keen sense of terroir and craftsmanship. The wines tell the story of the flint and limestone beneath the vines – fresh, vibrant, unmistakably Loire.
