Le Moulin, Chateau des Jacques
Welcome to Château des Jacques! Let me introduce you to our unique creation: Le Moulin. This small parcel in the north of the Beaujolais Cru Moulin-à-Vent is a true gem. On just 0.2 hectares, Gamay thrives here in a perfect east-facing location, surrounded by the oldest bush vines on our estate, planted between 1945 and 1950. Our winemaker, Cyril Chirouze, tends this vineyard with the utmost dedication and sustainable farming methods. The result? A wine of unparalleled elegance, concentration, and longevity. The unique quartz sand soil imparts a very special energy, freshness, and minerality to our Le Moulin. For the 2018 vintage, we crafted the first Le Moulin in the Burgundian style. Slow maceration, regular pigeage, and ten months of aging in French oak barrels ensure its distinctive character. Experience the exceptional quality and terroir of Le Moulin, exclusively from Château des Jacques. Immerse yourself in a world of exquisite aromas and let this unique wine enchant you. Treat yourself to something special – Le Moulin is more than just a wine, it's an experience. Welcome to Château des Jacques!
