Le Blanc par Paul Mas

Six grape varieties, vinified separately and then blended into a cuvée — that's the signature style behind this white wine from the Languedoc. Le Blanc par Paul Mas showcases what the South of France has to offer in terms of white grape varieties.

Paul Mas is one of the most renowned estates in the Languedoc, with vineyards around Montagnac in the Hérault department. The cuvée combines Viognier, Vermentino, Pinot Gris, Macabeu, Sauvignon Blanc, and Colombard —each variety contributing something different: the Viognier the peach and floral notes, the Sauvignon Blanc the freshness and citrus character, and the Vermentino and Macabeu the Mediterranean minerality.

Pale yellow in the glass with green reflections. The nose offers aromas of white peach, ripe mango, and orange blossom. On the palate, it is lively and fresh, with a clear acidity that supports the fruitiness. The finish is fruity, with a mineral aftertaste that makes the wine linger longer than expected.

Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C . Pairs well with fresh goat cheese, grilled sea bass with herbs de Provence, or a light vegetable quiche. Also a reliable choice as an uncomplicated summer evening wine on the patio.
