The Künstler winery in Hochheim am Main is one of the most prestigious addresses in the Rheingau. Franz Michel Künstler cultivates the vineyards with a focus on terroir-driven wines that prioritize elegance over quantity. The traditional wines are the classic entry point to their range—approachable, yet with genuine character.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby ​​color. The nose offers wild cherry and blackcurrant, underpinned by a subtle hint of earth and red spice. On the palate, it is soft and rounded, with fine tannins providing structure without being harsh. The finish is medium-long and fruity-dry. The 2016 vintage was rated 92 points by James Suckling.
