Künstler Hochheimer Hölle Riesling dry 0.375L
The Hochheimer Hölle vineyard is one of the most famous Riesling sites in the Rheingau — and the Künstler winery has been a fixture there for decades. This half-bottle has more character than its size would suggest.
Gunter Künstler cultivates his Rheingau vineyards with a focus on the precision typical of vineyard sites. The Hölle site lies directly on the Main River, benefits from a warm continental microclimate and deep loess loam soils over limestone – this gives the Riesling both ripeness and grip.
In the glass, it displays aromas of yellow apple and ripe pear, along with lemon zest and a subtle mineral undertone. On the palate, it is dense and concentrated, with well-integrated, not sharp, acidity. The finish is fresh, with a light, salty-spicy note that carries it through.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Drinking window: now until 2027.
It pairs well with fried freshwater fish , a creamy risotto with lemon zest, or mild goat cheese. The half-bottle is ideal for a nice dinner for two when you don't want to open a whole bottle.
