Künstler Hochheim Hölle Riesling GG dry

The Hochheimer Hölle vineyard is considered one of the great Riesling sites of the Rheingau – steep, deep, and warm. The Künstler winery has been one of the most reliable producers here for decades.

Fifty-year-old vines produce small yields with concentrated must weight. Aging in large oak casks keeps the fruit at the forefront, while giving the wine the necessary texture for long aging. James Suckling awarded the 2022 vintage 98 points—one of the highest ratings ever given to Hochheimer Riesling.

The glass reveals aromas of white peach, citrus, and a hint of herbal spice from the loess soil of Hochheim. The palate is dense, the acidity firm without harshness, the finish long and mineral. A young wine just beginning to open up—its full potential will unfold from 2027 onwards.
